"Please pass the Generosity..."

There is a need for caring for others, truly caring. In this day and age, we have begun to adopt a mentality of “I deserve this” and “do what you want”. Forgotten are the truths of what a little hard work and generosity can do for our lives, and the lives of others.

It is no secret that when we care for one another, our state of being benefits in wonderful ways. It's just the way God has created us! We Are called to "look to the interests of others", Philippians 2:4; "Love with deed and truth", 1 John 3:18; "Do good to everyone", Galatians 6:10. The list goes on, and there is a good reason for that.

Step one is to replace selfish attitudes and actions with generous and selfless ones. These seem so obvious to say but they're often much harder to perform. Simple actions like offering to buy a meal or giving up your seat to someone else are just a few examples of actions we should consider embracing. While self-centeredness will corrupt, deceive and hurt, generosity will... Well, give a little (and a lot!) and see what comes of it-- I'm sure you'll like the results.

It’s time to move in a new direction. 1 Thessalonians 5:11 "Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing."
