"Let there be light."
So many dreams,
that scream,
it seems,
Of life to be better,
hopes that fly higher...
I'm told there's a hand,
all is done by command.
Yet,
still I worry.
Still
I wonder.
One wrong step
and the ground disappears
Into a pool of a million tears.
I know.
I've been there before.
A desperate task to get back to shore.
Not a grain of longing to be there again.
Why can't I see what is held out to me?
Why do I cling to bonds that aren't there?
I take a deep breath,
Stretch my arms to the sky,
Close my eyes
And dream of how high I can fly.
I'm told there's a hand,
all is done by command.
No more will I worry.
Just wonder.
And stand.
